NFL 2011 Week 2

Rachelle barely squeaked by me for the win with Monday night's late game. I needed Denver for the win, but Oakland was able to get past a feeble and incompetent Kyle Orton to hand the win to my arch rival.

That won't happen this week. I will not be picking Denver (which - the way my luck usually goes - assures that about 5 minutes before game time, they will name Tebow to be their starter and ruin the whole plan, but at least it's better than going with the likelihood that they will start Orton again). I also have resorted to weighing the ESPN power picks more heavily than the CBS Sportsline power picks.

So Rachelle, prepare yourself and your Twitter followers for defeat. This is my week. You're going to go down faster than a triple bacon cheeseburger with extra cheese and a bottle of wine at dinner with Michelle Obama.

Here are this week's winning picks (* indicates Rachelle picked differently):

Chicago At New Orleans

Kansas City At Detroit

Jacksonville At NY Jets

Oakland At Buffalo

Arizona At Washington

Baltimore At Tennessee

Seattle At Pittsburgh

Green Bay At Carolina

Tampa Bay At Minnesota *

Cleveland At Indianapolis

Dallas At San Francisco

Houston At Miami

San Diego At New England *

Cincinnati At Denver *

Philadelphia At Atlanta

St. Louis At NY Giants

NFL 2011 Week 1

Okay, Rachelle. GAME ON!

This year, I will take Rachelle Friberg out. That "football terrorist" from San Diego (got lights?) who dogged me all last year will find that crony handicapping (I know she gets help from Eddie Burke) won't work this time around.

Polls may be for strippers and cross country skiers, but spreads are for toast and bagels. We will be going head to head, straight up pick the winner outright in each contest.

So watch and take notes, sports fans, as I pick more winners than Rachelle this year. Enjoy!
