Week Four Football, Baby!!!

Hey, fellow Pig Skinners!!!! Okay, so I lost the bet to Patrick by 1 game- 1 game. Can you believe it? We were all tied up going into MNF, so it came down to the result of the Panthers/Cowboys game. Patrick, here, went with the Cowboys, and I went with the Panthers. It looked good for me for a little while, but the Panthers soon seemed to give up. Since I lost, I had to post a picture of myself wearing a Romo jersey on Twitter. Don't worry, I'm going to post it here too. Patrick was nice enough not to rub it in, but I could tell for a little while that he was scared that he may very well lose to a girl- a trash-talking, football-loving girl at that! Although I lost, I still have the confidence that I will win, and Patrick will be having to pose in a Barack Obama t-shirt very, very soon! (I told him to just tell himself: "yes, I can.")

Last week, we had some surprises, like the Lions actually winning a game. Who saw that coming? Oh, that's right, Patrick. Anyway, on to week 4. Here are my picks:

Ravens at Patriots:
Patriots. Many, including Patrick, are picking the Ravens to beat the Pats. BUT, as a San Diego Charger fan, I know all too well how good the Pats are at home. They have Tom Brady, who is always good at the conclusion of a game, and the ravens have little Joey Flacko, who is still developing as a quarterback in the NFL.

Buccaneers at Redskins:
Redskins

Titans and Jaguars:
Titans
They lost a heart breaker last week, they are due for a win.

Raiders at Texans:
Texans

Lions at Bears: Sorry, Detroit, but your winning streak is over.

Bengals at Browns:
Bengals. Ocho-Cinco is the bomb!!!! Let him do his little dances and stunts to get the crowd riled up!!!

Seahawks at Colts:
Colts

Giants at Chiefs:
Giants

Jets at Saints:
Saints. I hold a special place in my heart for the Saints as Drew Brees used to quarterback the Chargers. He is a great quarterback and person too. His kind heart as well as the volunteer work he performs around San Diego, where he lives during the off-season, is truly remarkable. Plus, he and L.T. are great friends, and you all know this San Diego girl hearts that guy!!! Reggie Bush is also a guy with San Diego ties. Reggie grew up about 5 miles from me, and our high school's were and still are rivals. Reggie was in high school when I was, so it was always fun to see him play.

Bills at Dolphins: Bills With Chad Pennington out for the season, the Bills should have an easy time with this Dolphins team.

Cowboys at Broncos:
Cowboys. Yes, Patrick, I'm picking the Cowboys this week. I have always been a huge Cowboys fan, but am worried they haven't yet found their identity as a team, but the Broncos very beatable. Don't let their 3-0 record scare you. If you look at the teams they have played, the Lions even would have had a chance to win each of those games, which says a lot.

Rams at 49ers: 49ers

Chargers at Steelers:
SAN DIEGO SUPER CHARGERS! I gotta stick with my team this week. Although we lost a heartbreaking battle with Big Ben and crew in the playoffs last season, I have no doubt that we are the better team this year. Plus, that long-haired-girly-man Troy Polamalu is injured.

Philip Rivers has been on fire, and we have so many weapons. It's all going to come down to our defense and the air game. With guys like Steven Cooper, Quentin Jammer, and hopefully Shawne Merriman, our defense is a powerful force. Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates, Malcolm Floyd and Chris Chambers are going to be key to scoring touchdowns!!!! I KNOW my boys can do it!!! And Patrick thinks so too!!!!

Packers at Vickings:
Vickings. I would have picked the Packers, but since the Vikings are at home in that loud, crazy dome, the Packers will struggle.

Have a great week 4, everybody!!!!I'm actually going out of town early Sunday morning, so I will be relying on my BB, and friends to keep me updated on all of the action of the day. I'm bummed I won't be able to see my boys beat the Steelers and stomp all over those ugly towels. I'll me listening though!!!! Go, BOLTS, GO!!!
